Kurt Graham

SVP Construction & Development

Kurt is Senior Vice President of Construction and Development at Montford Group, leading the execution of the firm’s hospitality and design strategies from site acquisition through opening. He oversees design leadership, contract negotiations, construction delivery, and operational integration, with a focus on positioning each asset for long-term performance and investor return. In this role, he directs nearly $500 million in active redevelopment, ground-up construction, adaptive reuse, and hotel repositioning projects, as well as the firm’s portfolio of brand-mandated renovations.

At Montford Group, Kurt led the ground-up development of Moxy Charlotte Uptown, guiding the project through vertical construction, completion, and grand opening. He now leads the development and execution of the firm’s flagship luxury projects, including The Ritz-Carlton in Historic Downtown Savannah and an Autograph Collection development in Charleston. Both are highly complex, design-driven developments combining adaptive reuse and new construction while requiring close coordination across financing, historic preservation, design, construction, brand standards, and operations.

Prior to joining Montford Group, Kurt directed nearly $1 billion in hospitality, residential, and large-scale development initiatives. His portfolio included leadership of the reimagining of The Charleston Place and the luxury redesign and development of The Cooper Hotel. As a founding member of one of Charleston’s premier hospitality groups, he helped establish the organization’s strategic vision, build its development platform and leadership team, and create an in-house interior design studio.

Earlier in his career, Kurt spent nearly a decade at The Boca Raton, serving as Director of Property Operations and a member of the resort’s executive committee. He played a key leadership role in the first phase of its $300 million transformation, a repositioning that contributed to the resort becoming the only property in the Americas to earn four simultaneous Forbes Five-Star awards. He was also instrumental in the redevelopment strategy and operational transition surrounding the nearly $1 billion sale of the iconic resort.

Kurt holds an MBA and a BA, is Lean Six Sigma and Green Belt certified, and has completed executive coursework from The Wharton School.
