HK Patel

HK Patel is Director of Capital Projects at Montford Group, bringing more than 27 years of hotel ownership experience and 18 years focused on commercial land acquisitions, planning, real estate development, hotel construction, and asset management.

In his role, Patel leads construction and capital projects across the firm’s portfolio, drawing on deep expertise in construction and asset management. Over the course of his career, he has been in charge of 12 ground-up new construction hotels, with brand relationships spanning Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Best Western Hotels and Resorts, and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.

Prior to joining Montford Group, Patel spent 19 years at CN Hotels in construction management.

He serves on the Best Western International Governors Council and is a member of AAHOA, the Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance, and the Charlotte Visitors Authority.

Patel holds a BSA degree along with manager training certifications from Best Western Hotels and Resorts and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, and is a Certified Hotel Operator (CHO). Outside of work, he is passionate about spending time with his family and friends, building lasting relationships, and continuously seeking new challenges to grow his expertise.
